Prof. Wang's current interests are in the study of computational methods in cancer evolution and precision cancer medicine. In particular, he has been focusing on the study of the clonal evolution of glioblastoma under therapy, the precision diagnosis of brain tumor by integrating imaging and genomic data, development of novel targeted cancer therapies using data science approaches, and data mining of noncoding genome to identify and characterize novel functional noncoding RNAs.

Prof. Yip is a bioinformatian and computational biologist. He is interested in 1) developing computational tools for various novel types of data analyses, 2) modeling basic molecular mechanisms such as transcriptional regulation by integrating a variety of biological data, and 3) studying how these mechanisms are disrupted by genetic and epigenetic perturbations in human diseases.
